Watch Your Life Bloom

Welcome to the Official Blog of Author Lily L. Ratliff, of the inspirational Memoir, The Life of a Lily: Growing in His Strength, Blooming in His Love.

Thanks for coming by to sit awhile and reflecting along with me on everything biblical. On this blog, feel free to share your thoughts and feelings about the various topics I present. They all do come from the heart and are meant for us to ponder, be enlightened, laugh, cry, and ultimately give God all of the praise.

You will hopefully find resources on everything from writing tips to creating your own memoir, how to journal, becoming better Christians and how to walk in your callings, destinies, and witty inventions that we have deep inside of us but sometimes don't quite know how to tap into and walk in. But GOD! It is in his wisdom along with an open mind that we will get through this together. Amen! So I welcome you my brothers and sisters!

Share Your Stories of Life as a SINGLE Christian!

As we prepare for an upcoming teleconference, we would like to get stories from individuals (men and women) who are single but have had struggles in life on various situations (sex, dating, keeping yourself, friendships with the opposite sex, and the like) and how you endured with the help of God. Depending on your story, you may be called upon to be a speaker during the conference. All we ask is that you keep it real (Transparency is key!) and that you keep it centered with God in mind.

In the word of God, Paul makes it clear of how He feels as it relates to how we should devote our attention to the things of God:

"I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's affairs--how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world--how he can please his wife--and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord's affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world--how she can please her husband. I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord." -1 Corinthians 7: 32-35

But how do we do this with this flesh? You probably think, "It's easier said than done. Most people that say this is already married and fulfilled with their mates." This is where you come in. Tell us your stories candidly. You may comment anonymously here if you like or email us at eldersheart@gmail.com but in order to participate possibly in the teleconference coming soon, we would at least need your first initial, last name and your email address to contact you in case we would like to offer to have you speak. The Lord wants to use you to enlighten and be blessing to others. Tell your story today!
